How has the Rambox Ranking changed in the last month?

While March didn’t bring major changes to the Rambox ranking, there were a few small shifts worth noting.

WhatsApp, Gmail, Telegram, Google Calendar, and WhatsApp Business kept their usual stronghold in the top five—no surprises there. These apps continue to be the core tools for everyday communication and organization.

The Google Office Suite remains well-represented: Google Sheets and Google Docs are still in sixth and seventh place, holding steady for another month.

Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook held steady in positions eight, nine, and ten, respectively.

The most notable shifts happened in the collaboration category: Microsoft Teams moved up two spots to eleventh, overtaking both Discord and Slack, which dropped one position each.

At the bottom of the list, Chat GPT and Skype held on to fourteenth and fifteenth place, respectively—unchanged from last month.

In short, March brought a few minor reshuffles, especially in the middle of the ranking, while the top apps continue to dominate with consistent usage.

What ecosystems are the most used by our users?

When we look beyond individual apps and focus on the companies behind them, clear patterns emerge. Some ecosystems consistently stand out by offering a wide range of tools that cover everything from messaging to productivity. In March, a few major players continued to dominate the Rambox ranking thanks to their strong presence across multiple categories.

Meta

Meta is the most represented ecosystem in the Rambox ranking for March, with five apps in the Top 15: WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook. These platforms cover a mix of messaging, social interaction, and business communication, making Meta a key player in users’ daily routines.

WhatsApp and Messenger are widely used for instant messaging, both personal and professional. WhatsApp Business offers a more structured way to interact with clients or customers, while Instagram and Facebook help users stay connected, share content, and follow updates—all from within Rambox.

Meta’s strong presence across different types of communication explains why it consistently leads in overall representation in the ranking.

Google

Google the second most popular ecosystem among Rambox users, with four apps—Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Sheets, and Google Docs—in the Top 15 for March. These tools cover key day-to-day needs like managing email, keeping track of meetings, working with spreadsheets, and editing documents. The reason they’re so widely used? They’re simple, reliable, and work great together—especially for anyone who already uses Google Workspace in their daily routine.

Even though they didn’t make it into the Top 15 this month, other Google apps are still very popular on Rambox. Google Drive is often used for storing and sharing files, Google Chat helps teams stay connected within the Workspace environment, and Google Keep is a favorite for quick notes and to-do lists. These apps usually rank between positions 16 and 20 and show just how much users rely on Google tools to stay organized and get things done.

Looking at the types of apps that made it into the Top 15 this month gives us a clear picture of what Rambox users rely on most. Messaging, productivity, and collaboration tools continue to dominate, showing how important it is to stay connected, organized, and efficient throughout the day.

Communication

Communication tools play a big role in our everyday routines. Most of us use several throughout the day—switching between chats, emails, and messages depending on what we need.

In March, six apps in this category made it into the most-used list: WhatsApp, WhatsApp Business, Telegram, Messenger, Instagram, and Gmail. Together, they cover everything from quick chats to more formal or business-related communication.

There are also a few communication apps that didn’t make the list this month but came very close. Outlook and Outlook 365 are great alternatives to Google Workspace for managing email, especially for users who work with Microsoft tools.

On the messaging side, Google Messages and Google Chat offer a more professional option to connect with your team or clients—ideal for those looking for something beyond WhatsApp, with better integration into their workflow.

Productivity

When it comes to staying organized and making the most of the day, productivity tools are a must—and that’s reflected in the way users interact with Rambox. In March, Google Calendar stood out once again as a key tool for managing schedules, meetings, and daily planning.

ChatGPT also made the list, showing how more and more people are turning to AI to speed up tasks like writing, brainstorming, or finding quick answers without leaving their workspace.

Outside the main list, other productivity tools like Trello and Notion are still used regularly. Trello helps teams and individuals keep track of tasks and projects in a visual, flexible way, while Notion combines note-taking, task management, and databases all in one place. Collaboration

Working together is easier when you have the right apps, and collaboration tools continue to be a top choice for many users.

In March, Microsoft Teams, Discord, and Slack stood out for how well they support different types of teamwork.

Teams is great for users already working in the Microsoft ecosystem, offering chat, video calls, and file sharing all in one place.

Slack is a favorite for teams that need fast, organized communication, especially with its channel-based structure and app integrations. If you’re deciding between these two, check out our full comparison: Slack vs Teams.

And Discord, originally built for communities, has become a go-to option for creative teams thanks to its flexibility, voice channels, and informal feel. If you’re exploring the best collaboration tools for your setup, these three are a great place to start.

A few other apps didn’t make the Top 15 this time, but they still rank high overall and are part of many users’ daily workflows. Google Drive makes it easy to share and collaborate on files in real time, while Canva is a favorite for teams working on visual content together.
